Dreaming of Dresses

I can't think of a better way to get this blog ball rolling, than to discuss the most versatile and effortlessly stylish garment ever invented - the dress!
Ok, so today it finally occured to me, as the sun was streaming through my bedroom windows, that Spring is here...better late than never, hey? A new season calls for a new look, and after the dark, drab days of winter and non-stop work, I simply cannot wait to banish those leggings and opaque tights from my daily routine.
Nothing is guaranteed to put a spring in your step quite like a new outfit, and since a dress is practically an outfit in it's entirity, it's the perfect option for those busy days (and lets face it, I don't know any girl who's not in an outfit enduced rush most mornings!) After skimming a few of my favourite shopping sites, I have decided that my first port of call for new season dresses will be Urban Outfitters. Just take a look at these beauties...
With more than a nod to the nude trend, this first dress ticks all the right boxes. Pretty, feminine and flattering due to the empire line style flowing from just under the bust line - perfect for when you've overdone it at those many summer BBQs.
The super cute cut out detail on the second dress, makes this one a winner. With a nipped in waist and nautical styling, surely this is the ultimate summer staple - love the hat too.
I'm sure Alexa would love the next dress just as much as I do. No, it's not original, but it's simple, stylish, and always on trend thanks to the ever classic Breton stripe. Finally, I couldn't help but fall in love with this simple body-con. I'd reccomend pairing with a great pair of black chunky heels and a vintage denim jacket for the inevitable chilly walk home.
